TOWN of ROOSEVELT Minutes of the ANNUAL TOWN MEETING Tuesday, April 19, 2022 Timberland Lutheran Church, 20805 County Road H, Barronett The meeting was called to order by Chairman Huber at 7:00 pm. Present: Todd Coons, Trish Miner, Lee Huber, Tyler Odden, Steve Madison, Serena Fankhauser, Jerry & Becky Nelson The agenda was approved by consensus. There was a motion by Tyler Odden, 2nd by Todd Coons, to accept the minutes of the 2021 Annual Meeting. MC The Financial Statement for 2021 was reviewed. There was a motion by Todd Coons, 2nd by Tyler Odden, to accept the statement. MC After much discussion, the board has decided to leave the wages and fees the same with the exception of gravel fees. There was a motion by Lee Huber, 2nd by Todd Coons, to increase gravel from $4.00 per yard to $4.50 per yard starting in April of 2023.MC There was a motion by Steve Madison, 2nd by Tyler Odden, to allow the Town Board to set the levy. MC Road Work for 2021 – There was no maintenance gravelling done last year. There was a culvert installed on Sedar Rd. and ditching done as well. The biggest road project completed was paving Odden Rd. Cemetery update – Tyler Odden is on the cemetery board. Margaret Madison wishes to step down as chairman, and is asking that the board look for someone else to take her position. The board will follow up with this at future meetings. Les Olsen will mow the cemetery this summer. Fire Association update – Lee Huber has stated that there are no significant changes in the budget. The department did purchase new electric extrication tools. Date set for 2023 Annual Meeting will be the 3rd Tuesday in April @ 7 pm, at Timberland Church.
