Minutes of the
REGULAR TOWN BOARD MEETING
February 13, 2024
Timberland Lutheran Church, 20805 County Hwy H Barronett

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Huber at 7:01 pm. 

Present: Todd Coons, Lee Huber, Serena Fankhauser, Becca Odden, Trish Miner, Tyler Odden, Wayne Romsos

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. A motion was made by Todd Coons to approve the minutes and seconded by Tyler Odden. MC

The first order of business was that Lee Huber reported that he had received a resignation letter from Rebecca Odden resigning effective February 13th at noon from the town treasurer. He also reported that he had received a resignation letter from Trish Miner resigning from town clerk on February 13th. After some discussion, Todd Coons nominated Rebecca Odden for the position as Town Clerk. The motion passed unanimously. Immediately after, Tyler Odden nominated Serena Fankhuauser for Town Treasurer. The motion passed unanimously.

After some discussion, Lee Huber nominated Trish Miner for a deputy clerk position. Tyler Odden seconded the motion. MC

 Lee Huber motioned that Becca Odden would contact Cumberland Federal with the transition of the bank accounts and to obtain a debit card, Todd Coons 2nd the motion.MC

Public Input

Treasurer’s Report
Cash on Hand as of January 31, 2024: $326, 622.99

Clerk’s Report
Checks #9099-2013 in the amount of $202,104.61 were presented for payment. There was a motion by Lee Huber, 2nd by Tyler Odden to pay bills as submitted. 

Old Business


The first order of business was to discuss road signs and posts. Todd Coons brought a sign that would be put up. Lee Huber made a motion to buy 200 posts and Tyler Odden seconded the motion. MC This project will be paid by ARPA funds. 

Lee Huber reported on the ARPA project for 2024.

New Business

Lee Huber reported on the New Bridge Program, which led to a discussion that the road tour will be a full day this spring. 

Announcements:

The next monthly meeting will be on Wednesday, March 13th at 7:00 at Timberland Lutheran Church. 

Primary elections will be on Tuesday, February 20th at Timberland church from 7:00 am -8:00 pm.
