TOWN of ROOSEVELT Minutes of the ANNUAL TOWN MEETING Tuesday, April 16, 2024 Timberland Lutheran Church, 20805 County Road H, Barronett The meeting was called to order by Tyler Odden at 7:00 pm.
Present: Todd Coons, Lee Huber (via phone), Tyler Odden, Steve Madison, Serena Fankhauser, Becca Odden, Wayne Romsos The agenda was approved by consensus. There was a motion by Todd Coons, 2nd by Lee Huber, to accept the minutes of the 2023 Annual Meeting. MC The Financial Statement for 2023 was reviewed. There was a motion by Lee Huber, 2nd by Todd Coons, to accept the statement. MC After much discussion, the board has decided to increase the following wages and fees. Lee Huber made a motion to increase gravel to $10/yd with the max of 75 per address. The motion was seconded by Todd Coons. MC. Lee Huber made a motion to increase the clerk’s wage from $8000 to $10,000. Serena Fankhauser seconded the motion. MC Lee Huber made a motion to increase the treasurer’s salary from $3500 to $5000. Todd Coons seconded the motion. MC. There was a motion by Steve Madison, 2nd by Tyler Odden, to allow the Town Board to set the levy. MC Road Work for 2023 – Throughout the township dust control was focused on, spot control for graveling and culverts were in throughout the township. The 911 signs are in progress as is the LRip application. Cemetery update – Tyler Odden is on the cemetery board. Margaret Madison has resigned, and the board is looking for someone else to take her position. Dick Diesterhaft will continue to mow and Artie Erickson will be his backup. Fire Association update – Lee Huber has stated that there are no significant changes. The roster remains strong and there will be no rate changes this year. Date set for 2025 Annual Meeting will be the 3rd Tuesday in April @ 7 pm, at Timberland Church. Old Business – New Business – There was a motion by Lee Huber, 2nd by Todd Coons to adjourn at 7:40 pm.
