TOWN of ROOSEVELT
Minutes of the
REGULAR TOWN BOARD MEETING
Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at 7pm
Timberland Lutheran Church, 20805 County Hwy H Barronett

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Huber at – 7:01pm
 
Present: Tyler Odden, Lee Huber, Kate Odden, Todd Coons, Becca Odden, Steve Madison, Wayne Romsos, Kevin Lindquist, Colleen Leuschner, Les Olsen
Jean Buchanan, Cheryl Julson, Bill Julson.
 
There was a motion by Lee Huber, 2nd by Tyler Odden, to accept the minutes from the previous regular meeting. MC

Treasurer’s Report
Beginning balance of $136,202.75. There was $20,421.33 in deposits, with $321.91 in interest. Disbursements of $4,882.18. Remaining balance of $152,063.81.

Clerk’s Report
​Checks #9040-9048 in the amount of $4,882.82 were presented for payment. There was a motion by Lee Huber, 2nd by Tyler Odden to pay bills as submitted.  MC
 
Old Business

• LRIP Email – Pilot Program email on June 21st.  25 counties in NW and C WI fall into this pilot program. Need to have a project in mind by Oct. 2023.
• Road Discussion

New Business 

• Discussion of blacktop on Timberland Rd. with residents that live on the blacktop, present at the meeting for open discussion.
• Gravel plan between Tyler and Steve, crushing/screening the gravel.
• Short term room tax.
• County Road Improvement Plan (CTRIC), committee to pass the LRIP.
• Roads – Shared responsibility.
• Burnett towns association meeting update – Residents to edit what they think are the correct zone measurements of their property, due October.
• LRIP Application
• Updating the townships comprehensive plan
• WISLR
• Storage Unit at Thompson Storage. Todd Coons motions for approval, 2nd by Tyler Odden. Todd Coons motions to pay a full year, 2nd by Tyler Odden.

There was a motion by Lee Huber, 2nd by Todd Coons, to adjourn the meeting at 9:12pm. MC
