Minutes of the
REGULAR TOWN BOARD MEETING
September 14, 2021
Timberland Lutheran Church, 20805 County Road H, Barronett
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Odden at 7:00 pm.

 
Present: Greg Odden, Lee Huber, Trish Miner, Tyler Odden, Serena Fankhauser
 
There was a motion by Lee Huber, 2nd by Tyler Odden, to accept the minutes from the previous regular meeting. MC
 
Treasurer’s Report
Cash on Hand as of August 31, 2021:  $88,372.87
 
Clerk’s Report
Checks # 8789-8800 in the amount of $10,172.96 were presented for payment. There was a motion by Tyler Odden, 2nd   by Lee Huber to pay bills as submitted.  MC
 
Old Business
Steve Madison is currently working on his portion of the LRIP Project on Odden Rd. The board has stipulated the current drain system should remain accessible in case the system needs to be cleaned out.
 
Tyler Odden has mentioned that it may be in the towns’ best interest if road review was done in the fall instead of in the spring. It would give bidders more time to prepare for a project that would begin the following year instead of the current summer. Greg Odden will contact Steve Madison to choose a date to do the road review. 
 
New Business 
The Wisconsin Election Commission is mandating that all Wisconsin municipalities must get a .gov or wi.gov email domain to provide secure communication between the townships and the election commission to enhance election security. Clerks will not be allowed to access the WEC website unless they get a secure email domain. After much discussion, there was a motion by Lee Huber, 2nd by Tyler Odden to pay the fees for the secure email domain. The clerk will check out how much it will cost to have one.
 
Lee Huber provided an update the ambulance service for Roosevelt Township. He said it is the goal of the Cumberland Ambulance Service to keep the per capita price as stable as possible. The townships annual dues are used to upgrade equipment for the ambulance.
 
The date for the budget hearing and town levy meeting will be Tuesday, November 9th.
 
 
Announcements
The October meeting will be on Tuesday, October 12th.  
 
Preliminary Budget review will be Tuesday, October 12th.
 
There was a motion by Lee Huber, 2nd by Tyler Odden to adjourn the meeting at 7:30. MC
