TOWN of ROOSEVELT Minutes of the REGULAR TOWN BOARD MEETING September 11,2024 Timberland Lutheran Church, 20805 County Road H, Barronett The meeting was called to order by Chairman Huber at 7:00 pm.
Present: Todd Coons, Lee Huber, Becca Odden, Tyler Odden, Serena Fankhauser,Wayne Romsos, Eric Kaphingst There was a motion by Lee Huber, 2nd by Todd Coons, to accept the minutes from the previous regular meeting. MC Public Input Eric Kaphingst reported on turning 1952 Boyd Lane into couple cabins. The first step is rezoning the land. He commented that no agricultural land would be affected in the cabin building. He will be attending the October meeting to discuss the project further. Treasurer’s Report Cash on Hand as of August 31, 2024: $203,983.85 Clerk’s Report Checks # 9199-9213 in the amount of $34,239.69 were presented for payment. There was a motion by Lee Huber, 2nd by Tyler Odden to pay bills as submitted. MC Old Business Todd Coons gave an update on the fire signs. He will begin putting them up next week. New Business After much discussion pertaining to the remaining balance in the ARPA Grant fund, there was a motion by Lee Huber to obligate $16,189 to support surface transportation projects for the Town of Roosevelt, with the priority being gravel crushing. Tyler Odden 2nd the motion. MC The grant funds must be obligated for use by the December 31, 2024 deadline. The date for the budget hearing and town levy meeting will be Wednesday, November 13, 2024. Announcements The October meeting will be on Wednesday, October 9th. . Preliminary Budget review will be Wednesday, October 9th. The Prelat/Public will be on Monday, October 28th at 6:00 There was a motion by Lee Huber, 2nd by Tyler Odden to adjourn the meeting at 8:16.
