TOWN of ROOSEVELT
Minutes of the
REGULAR TOWN BOARD MEETING
Wednesday, October 8th, 2025
Timberland Lutheran Church, 20805 County Road H, Barronett

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Huber at 7:00 pm.

Present: Lee Huber, Rebecca Odden, Serena Fankhauser, Wayne Romsos,  Todd Coons and Tyler Odden (on the phone).

There was a motion by Lee Huber, 2nd by Todd Coons, to accept the minutes from the previous regular meeting. MC

Treasurer’s Report
Cash on Hand as of October 31, 2025:  $222,903.00

Clerk’s Report
Checks # 9350-9352 in the amount of $3,517.99 were presented for payment. There was a motion by Tyler Odden, 2nd   by Todd Coons to pay bills as submitted.  MC

Old Business
An update was given on the current LRIP project on Boyd Lane. The board discussed the zoning project and Lee Huber made a motion to contact the zoning committee with the intent of rezoning all R-1 and R-2 parcels in Roosevelt Township, with the exception of Craig Hokanson’s property and leaving it R-3. 2nd by Todd Coons. MC.

Todd Coons is continuing to put up fire signs in the township and is currently working on properties on County Road J.

New Business  
After much discussion, about the continuation of the business ordinance. Lee Huber made a motion to have WTA or a private lawyer review the draft ordinance, so that the board has a resolution draft to vote upon at the November meeting. Tyler Odden 2nd. MC. 

Rebecca Odden will create the Fall newsletter and will post it on the town’s website. It will include topics, such as: current road projects, Enviortech( Dust Control) Application rotations, Lumber Harvesting and other important township information. 

Budget review-Overall, the initial draft looks good, but it will be reviewed again in November. The date for the budget hearing and town levy meeting will be Wednesday, November 12th with the board meeting to follow.


There was a motion by Lee Huber, 2nd by Tyler Odden to adjourn the meeting at 7:46. MC

The November meeting will be on Wednesday, November 12th following the budget hearing and town levy meeting.  

Public budget hearing and town levy meeting will be Wednesday, November 12th  @ 7:00 pm @ Timberland Lutheran Church.
