TOWN of ROOSEVELT
Minutes of the
REGULAR TOWN BOARD MEETING
Wednesday, August 12, 2026
Timberland Lutheran Church
 20805 County Road H, Barronett

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Huber at 7:00 pm.

Present: Todd Coons, Lee Huber, Becca Odden, Tyler Odden, Serena Fankhauser,Wayne Romsos, Steve Madison

There was a motion by Lee Huber, 2nd by Todd Coons, to accept the minutes from the previous regular meeting. MC

Public Input
Wayne Romsos, a counsel member from Timberland Church, attended the meeting. He discussed that the church will be having a bible study on Wednesday nights starting in September. He asked if the town board could change their meeting date or time. A consensus was made that town board meetings will now start at 7:30 pm on the second Wednesday of every month. 

Treasurer’s Report
Cash on Hand as of August 31, 2026 :$267,516.12

Clerk’s Report
Checks # 9440-9449,9451-9454 in the amount of $35,206.79 were presented for payment. There was a motion by Lee Huber, 2nd by Todd Coons to pay bills as submitted.  MC

Old Business
 The board discussed ongoing road discussions. Steve Madison was present and gave an update on current projects on Nelson Lane and Hilltop Road. Lee Huber also gave a report on the Heart Lake Rd Project. He commented that the board has a MOA with Dewey township to work on the intersection of Heart Lake Rd. 

New Business  
A new election worker, Melody Bassett, was approved for the 2026-2027 election cycle.

The board also discussed the upcoming Comprehensive Plan Meeting. Lee Huber made a motion to process and enact a stipend for committee members for comprehensive plan.Todd Coons seconded the motion. MC. Todd Coons then amended the motion to state to retroactively process and pay the members as needed. Tyler Odden seconded the motion. MC

Announcements
Comprehensive Plan Meeting will be held August 13th, 2026 at 7:00 pm
The September meeting will be on Wednesday, September 8th, 2026 at 7:30 pm

There was a motion by Lee Huber, 2nd by Tyler Odden to adjourn the meeting at 7:56 PM. MC
