TOWN of ROOSEVELT Minutes of the REGULAR TOWN BOARD MEETING April 15, 2025 Timberland Lutheran Church, 20805 County Hwy H Barronett The meeting was called to order by Chairman Huber at 7:33 pm.
Present: Lee Huber, Tyler Odden, Serena Fankhauser, Wayne Romsos, Todd Coons, Becca Odden, Steve Madison, Jeremy Burton There was a motion by Lee Huber, 2nd by Todd Coons, to accept the minutes from the previous regular meeting. MC Public Input Jeremy Burton, county commissioner, attended the meeting. He introduced himself and his role explained his role as the county commissioner in the townships. He welcomes the townships to reach out with questions or if they need help with projects. Treasurer’s Report Cash on Hand as of February March 31, 2025: $244,505.63 Clerk’s Report Checks #9296-9310 in the amount of $6,611.10 were presented for payment. There was a motion by Todd Coons, 2nd by Lee Huber to pay bills as submitted. MC Old Business There was discussion about the current LRip project. Steve Madison and Lee Huber went and looked at a prospective project on Boyd Lane. After a lengthy discussion, the board will be moving forward with a project and an LRiP application. Tyler Odden got a bid for several projects in the township. He presented the costs and the board discussed how to move forward. Lee Huber made a motion to move forward with the all projects presented which included work on Heart Lake Rd and Odden Rd. 2nd by Todd Coons. MC. Lee Huber and Becca Odden gave an update on the zoning. The next step is to send out letters to the property owners. New Business The township will be having Enviroblend provide dust control to the town roads and private residents for a fee. The township will be on a cycle to keep continuous cover and reduce dust. The application will be happening at the end of May. Tyler Odden received a bid from Sleepy Hollow to mow ditches. After some discussion, Tyler Odden made a motion to contract ditch mowing with Sleepy Hollow for 2025. TC seconded. Motion passed. Liquor License up for review – There was a motion by Lee Huber, 2nd by Tyler Odden, to approve the 2025-2026 liquor license for Timberland Tavern. MC There was a motion by Tyler Odden, 2nd by Lee Huber, to adjourn the meeting at 8:54 pm. MC Announcements Road Review May 10th (8 am - 10:00)
