Minutes of the
ANNUAL TOWN MEETING
Tuesday, April 15, 2025
Timberland Lutheran Church, 20805 County Road H, Barronett

The meeting was called to order by Lee Huber at 7:07 pm.

Present: Todd Coons, Lee Huber, Tyler Odden, Steve Madison, Serena Fankhauser, Becca Odden, Wayne Romsos, Jeremy Burton
 
The agenda was approved by consensus.

There was a motion by Tyler Odden, 2nd by Todd Coons, to accept the minutes of the 2024 Annual Meeting. MC

The Financial Statement for 2024 was reviewed. There was a motion by Todd Coons, 2nd by Lee Huber, to accept the statement. MC

After some discussion, the board has decided to increase the following wages and fees. Todd Coons  made a motion to increase the clerk and treasurer’s wage by $2000 each. Raising the clerks' salary from $10,000 to $12,000 and the treasurer’s salary from $5000 to $7000. Lee Huber seconded the motion. MC.

There was a motion by Steve Madison, 2nd by Tyler Odden, to allow the Town Board to set the levy. MC

Road Work for 2024 – Throughout the township dust control application was put on a rotation throughout the township. Culverts were replaced on the Dump and Ski Road. The 911 signs are in progress as is the LRip application. 

Cemetery update – Wayne Romsos reported on the cemetery board. Paul Boucher is the new secretary/reporter. Dick Diesterhaft will continue to mow and Artie Erickson will be his backup. They are looking for donations towards the cemetery gate or  for the upkeep of the cemetery. 

Fire Association update – Lee Huber has stated that there are no significant changes. The roster remains strong and there will be no rate changes this year.                                                               
Date set for 2026 Annual Meeting will be the 3rd Tuesday in April @ 7 pm, at Timberland Church.
